I’ve come to realize that I really like videogame music.
Like REALLY like it, it consists of over 50% of my music folder. It’s mostly from various NES and SNES games
like Super Mario and Donkey Kong, but I also have some obscure-ish ones like
Gun. Smoke. I also think almost anything
from Final Fantasy is good, so I have some of that too. Asking myself why I prefer videogame music
over regular music, I answer that it’s because not only are they good tunes,
but I can apply them to all sorts of scenarios that I conjure up in my head
daily. I also favor simpler ones like
NES and Gameboy because they are in the Mono format so I can hear all of it
with just one earbud in. I listen like
that because people like to talk to me while I’m listening to music, and Stereo
style means I’ll miss some of the song, making it sound weird. This not to say that I don’t enjoy regular
music, I do, but I’ve found that I’m rather picky about that kind of music, and
people take their music choices too seriously, which is another reason I like
VGM (Video Game Music, just in case you weren’t aware), people can hate, but I like
to think that people like me are an elite corps of musical connoisseurs, but
then again, I think different than other people, so I suppose I might be alone
in this thinking.
I think that’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed reading this
and I hope you come back again to read what other bit of randomness comes out
of my head. My contact info is at the bottom as always in case you have
any questions or comments, and be sure to keep an eye out on my review blog,
The Quilly and Star Review Page for those book reviews when I get them
Until next time, Toodles ^^
