Running in the Tall Grass 3

Welcome back to Running in the Tall Grass. It’s been a few days since I last posted, and I’m sorry for that, stuff came up.  At any rate, I traveled far and wide over the three days I was gone and encountered a total of 160 Pokémon of 30 different species across all areas I ventured:

30 Wingull- 18.75%
13 Hawlucha- 8.125%
12 Golett- 7.5%
11 Drifloon- 6.875%
10 Nosepass- 6.25%
10 Zangoose -6.25%
9 Spoink- 5.625%
6 Eevee- 3.75%
5 Absol- 3.125%
5 Chingling- 3.125%
5 Whismur- 3.125%
5 Meinfoo- 3.125%
4 Houndour- 2.5%
4 Sigilyph- 2.5%
4 Woobat- 2.5%
3 Carbink- 1.875%
3 Mr. Mime- 1.875%
3 Snubbull- 1.875%
3 Solosis- 1.875%
2 Bagon- 1.25%
2 Emolga- 1.25%
2 Inkay- 1.25%
2 Seviper- 1.25%
1 Chatot- .625%
1 Ferroseed- .625%
1 Miltank- .625%
1 Sawk- .625%
1 Tauros- .625%
1 Tentacool- .625%
1 Zubat- .625%

Again, I elected to not separate them by location for the sake of simplicity.  I also didn't want to try and calculate the percentages for each area, 160 Pokémon is a lot. As always, my Connecting Cave encounters happened just passing through to see the scientist in there to heal my party.  I had 1 Whismur horde encounter and I found a Zubat.

Some of the encounters on Route 8 changed up on me from what I had discovered previously.  The Drifloon were out in force, as were the Wingull hordes, Spoink kept up its average encounter rate.  I had my usual rare encounters, and even found a couple Bagon along the way.  The Zangoose/Seviper horde encounters numbered 2 this time, so 10 Zangoose was actually 8 found with the 2 Seviper, so 2 single encounters.  Aside from that, pretty much stat quo as the other two posts.

I actually got away from Route 8 and moved forward to Route 10 and beyond, exploring Routes 10, 11, 12, and the Reflection Cave.  But first, Route 10, or as I was gonna start calling it, the New Route 8.  I found 54 Pokémon on Route 10, second only to Route 8.  The average encounters of Golett and Hawlucha meant that they were the one I ran into the most, hit 2 Nosepass hordes makes up the 10 I found here, I wouldn’t have believed that Eevee was a very rare encounter if I hadn’t seen the encounter table, the numbers certainly seem to prove otherwise.  Emolga, on the other hand, was as rare as the table says it is.  Houndour, Snubbull, and Sigilyph keep it rare on Route 10.

Route 11 was really nothing more than a precursor to Reflection Cave finding only a single Sawk, which is an average encounter on Route 11.  Almost not even worth mentioning here.

Reflection Cave was a doozy, all those mirror surfaces was kinda trippy, not to mention that it was an appropriate place for me to do a little reflecting while I was in there, as one on my Pokémon suffered a lethal injury due to my stupidity.  But this isn’t the place for that, perhaps I’ll outline that in a new post.  At any rate, the pickings were oddly slim in here, maybe because of the mirrors, I’m actually surprised I didn’t find any Roggenrola, they are average in here, along with Mr. Mime and Solosis.  I found a good number of Chinglings despite its rarity in here, Carbink on the other hand is par for the course.  Though I don’t have it on the encounter table, Woobat and Ferroseed were found by them dropping on top of me from the ceiling, common and average respectively.

Now we move on to my current route, Route 12.  Not much seen here, don’t really plan on hanging around long here as my Pokémon are pretty stout at this point.  Only found one of each of the Pokémon I found, Tentacool is common, Chatot is average, and Tauros and Miltank are rare.

I think that’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope you come back again to read what other bit of randomness comes out of my head.  I got my list of ways you can contact me in case you have any questions or comments.  Until next time, Toodles ^^
